Ltd.国家: Japan地址: Tokyo联络: Setsuo Wakuda网站: www.autobacs.co.jp类型: Wholesalers配置档案: Dear Stakeholders, Thank You For All Your Support To Us. Hereby, I Would Like To Report The Financial Results Of The Fiscal Year Ended March 31, 2008. During The Fiscal Year Under Review, Although Snowfalls During February In Eastern Japan Stimulated Demand For Snow Tires And Tire Chains, The Operating Environment Remained Difficult, Given Sluggish Growth In The Number Of Registered New And Used Cars, And Soaring Prices Of Gasoline And Raw Materials. In Response, The Autobacs Group Continued To Emphasize Its Three Main Business Areas, Namely Auto Parts And Accessories Sales, Statutory Safety Inspections And Maintenance Services, And Used Car Sales And Purchases, To Transform The Existing Auto Parts And Accessories Sales Business Into A Total Car-life Service Business. As A Result Of These Initiatives, Autobacs Group’s Consolidated Net Sales Rose 9.9% From The Previous Fiscal Year, To ¥266.429 Billion. This Increase Was Primarily Attributable To The Opening Of New Stores, And A Change In Store Formats, Scrap & Building, And Relocation Of The Existing Stores, In Addition To Higher Sales, Boosted By Strong Sales Of Used Cars And Robust Statutory Safety Inspections And Maintenance Services. The Inclusion Of Sales Of Autobacs Strauss Inc., The Newly Acquired U.s. Auto Parts And Accessories Sales Store, And Of Palstar K.k., An Engine Oil Distributor, Which Have Been Included In Consolidated Subsidiaries, Also Contributed To Higher Overall Sales. However, Operating Income Fell 43.2% From The Previous Fiscal Year, To ¥6.939 Billion, Reflecting Higher Expenses Spent To Achieve Medium-term Business Growth In Japan. These Expenses Included Those Associated With The Used Car Purchasing System, The Pos System, And Recruitment And Training, As Well As Expenses Associated With Autobacs Strauss Inc. And Palstar K.k. Ordinary Income Declined 62.9% From The Previous Fiscal Year, To ¥6.062 Billion, Given The Recording Of A Non-operating Loss Of ¥4.326 Billion Yen On The Revaluation Of Investments In Securities, Reflecting Turmoil In The Financial Markets, Stemming From The U.s. Sub-prime Loans Problems.
